Neighbors Helping Neighbors

---

Led by Board President John Scott, this community initiative provides Maumee seniors with vegetable plants, seeds, containers, and soil. Volunteers help participants create small home gardens where they can grow fresh produce and herbs.

Children can join a competition organized by John Scott while learning about:

• Growing techniques
• Soil composition
• Gardening best practices
• The benefits of homegrown food

John will establish the judging criteria, with prizes awarded for:

• Best in show
• Best taste
• Largest vegetable grown

This exciting project is planned for spring 2027, with more details to come.
